: As many as 11 passengers were injured when a low-floor bus operated by the KSRTC collided with a truck near Neeleshwaram.

The mishap occurred around 7.30 p.m. on Monday, as the driver of the bus, plying on the Kasaragod-Payyannur route, lost control of the wheel while negotiating a sharp curve and dashed against the truck on the national highway at Karuvachery, police said.

The mishap also caused nearly an hour-long road blockade after diesel from the collapsed fuel tank of the truck flowed down the road triggering panic even as darkness enveloped the locality.

Fire and rescue personnel from nearby Kanhangad rushed the spot to clear the diesel splashed on the road to restore the vehicular movement.
