DMK men arrested, released in Tirunelveli district

The Valliyoor police arrested two office-bearers of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam on Tuesday evening for allegedly distributing copies of a Tamil magazine that unleashed a scathing attack on Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and her government in one of its recent stories.

Police said DMK’s Valliyoor town secretary M. Sethuramalingam and party’s east district youth wing’s deputy secretary S. Muthuraman were nabbed when they were disturbing the “objectionable literature” to the public. They were released immediately.
