Ranjeet Kamala Sankar and Salil Menon, who debuted as screen writers with Asif Ali starrer Kohinoor, are all set to direct a film together. The interesting part is that another duo is writing the screenplay for their debut directorial venture.
Anil Kuiran and Abhayakumar, who have earlier written the screenplay of Punyalan Agarbathis, are teaming again for this untitled project. “It will be a youth based, out and out comedy film. As of now we have not zeroed in on lead actors. It will be completed by January-February,” says Ranjeet.
He adds that its filming will start by the end of next year. In the meantime, the duo, who started as assistant directors in Punyalan...,will complete a script for Vinay Govind, who directed their earlier film — Kohinoor.
“This film is also expected to go on floors next year and it will be compleyely different from Kohinoor. This will be a family subject,” says the writer. Abhayakumar was the co-writer of Ranjith Sankar, in his latest outing Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam.
