DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh had seven tackles against Dallas, which follows a season-best eight-tackle game against Philadelphia.

And considering Suh was going against Dallas All Pro right guard Zack Martin on Sunday, it might have been his best game of the season. Miami decided to move Suh around on Sunday, having him play his usual left defensive tackle as well as left defensive end and right defensive end.

But Suh's greater contribution might have come when, according to a tweet by Ian Rappaport of NFL.com, he had a meeting with defensive players in which Suh addressed them in "an incredibly fiery & demanding speech. Had his own meeting, holding players accountable."

Interim coach Dan Campbell, who played 11 seasons in the NFL, didn't deny the meeting took place, but he didn't confirm it, either.

"To me," he said, "from the time that I came into this league it's always been about, 'This is us, in this room.' And things that are said in there are between us. And I've always felt that way

--Trailing, 24-14, Campbell decided to punt on fourth down Sunday at his own 47-yard line with 6:37 remaining. Campbell opted to rely on his defense rather than his offense to make the plays.

"I knew we'd pin them down there and our defense would stop them at three downs, and I wouldn't have to use our timeouts," Campbell explained, "and then they would punt it back to us. We would score. We'd kick it to them. We'd use our three timeouts to stop them, get it back, score a touchdown, win the game."

--Dallas' ability to run the ball 38 times for 166 yards allowed the Cowboys to dominate time of possession, 38:50 to 21:10.

Miami's defense, playing without starting linebackers Jelani Jenkins (ankle) and Koa Misi (abdomen), was clearly at a disadvantage. Dallas running back Darren McFadden rushed for 129 yards.

"We feel like we're a very physical offense," McFadden said. "We know we have a very physical offensive line. Those guys did their job today and went out there and blew guys off the ball."
