BENGALURU: Lokayukta court on Monday remanded former minister and mining baron G Janardhana Reddy to judicial custody till December 3. The court also posted the hearing of his bail petition on November 25.
Reddy was arrested on Friday in connection with illegal export of a large quantity of iron ore mined from a company which didn't have licence. The ore thus procured through the third party mining company was then taken to Belikeri port near Karwar for export clandestinely .

He was summoned by the Lokayukta special investigating team (SIT) probing into the Ballari-centred illegal iron ore mining case that was investigated earlier by Lokayukta for questioning, but by Friday evening he was arrested. He was in SIT custody till November 23.
Reddy, who obtained conditional bail from the Supreme Court in January this year, was yet to be questioned in the case involving his company Black Gold Iron Ore Exports, the 14th case in succession, and a third case in which he is yet to obtain bail.
