Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader M. Karunanidhi on Monday accused the State government of not giving appointment to his party representatives to hand over Rs. 1 crore toward flood relief work.
In a statement here, he alleged that even though the DMK representatives contacted the Chief Secretary’s office on November 17, officials were non-committal about an appointment to receive the cheque.
“It gives room to suspicion whether the ‘high-command’ had ordered them not to accept the money. Still we are trying to hand over the cheque,” he said.
