MUMBAI: Harbour
line services were affected due to
loco failure in a goods train near Wadala at 5.30am on Monday.
Railway officials said the technical problem was rectified within an hour and services resumed. The incident affected the frequency of early morning suburban trains on the
Harbour line. Ten trains were cancelled and others ran behind schedule.
Sources said that a point
failure near Belapur station for half an hour in the afternoon also affected services.
Said an official, “Peak hour trains ran slightly behind schedule. But the services returned back to normalcy by noon on Harbour line—both CST-Panvel and CST-Andheri corridors.”
