London Motor Show return a ‘no brainer’

London_Motor_Show_620With Lookers joining Sytner and TW White as the latest dealer group to exhibit at the 2016 London Motor Show, the revived event has been described as a “no brainer” by the boss of one of the UK’s biggest advertising agencies.

Speaking at a special launch event for the show, which runs 5-8 May at the Battersea Park Evolution Centre, Richard Aldford, managing director of M&C Saatchi Accelerator welcomed the return of the annual event following the appointment of Motor Trader as the B2B media partner.

“The one phrase that best sums-up the LMS is easy as it’s a no brainer. London deserves a motor show. In fact, I’d go further – London deserves this fantastic motor show for 2016 and for years to come,” he said.

Lookers will represent Jaguar, Land Rover and Volkswagen at the show, while Sytner will display BMW and Mini and TW White will showcase Mazda. More dealer signings will be announced over the coming weeks.

Also confirmed for the event is Warr’s Harley Davidson, the London-based dealer which is the bran’s biggest European retailer.

Carmakers signed up for the event include MG Motor, Tesla, the specialist US premium electric carmaker, and Zenos, the Norfolk-based sports car brand.

Other exhibitors include the IMI, Enterprise Rent-a-Car Exotic Car Collection, Cosworth Engineering, MotorPocket and Kahn.

“London used to have a glorious motor show, so this is simply the continuation of a splendid tradition,” he said.

M&C Saatchi Accelerator will serve as the digital and print advertising partner for the event.

“Our job is to help the London Motor Show spread the word about itself to consumers in Q1 2016 via the organisers’ media investment and our creativity.

“This will see the show go from being an event known to a few tens of thousands of people to an event known to millions of people. We expect awareness in London to reach between 2-3 million people and – with digital work spreading to national audiences – 10 million Britons will be aware of the show by the time of its launch.”
