FIFA presidential candidate Tokyo Sexwale on a charm offensive

Tokyo Sexwale left for Denmark on Sunday night to canvas support from the six-nation Nordic group of Fifa federations ahead of the presidency elections. Sexwale published his election manifesto last week to launch his campaign to replace Sepp Blatter on February 26.One of five candidates for the position, he will be a guest speaker at a summit in Copenhagen on Monday to be attended by officials from Finland, Norway, Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Sweden."They were impressed with his manifesto and he has been invited to be a guest speaker at a summit in Copenhagen to sell his philosophy," said an insider.Other candidates - Jerome Champagne, Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein and Gianni Infantino - will also present their programmes.Sexwale has already been to Egypt to seek CAF' support."He will also have a presence at the Cecafa Cup in Ethiopia and the [CAF] Under-23 Championship in Senegal."He will be trotting around the globe trying to get numbers behind him and win support from the world. Next week he will be in France," the insider said.Spanish La Liga president Javier Tebas, arrives in Johannesburg this morning to open the league's first office in Africa tomorrow...
