A few trains would be cancelled or would suffer delay on Tuesday due to maintenance work on Pongam road overbridge between Chalakkudy and Karukutty Railway stations.
Train number 56376 Guruvayur Passenger leaving Ernakulam at 7.40 p.m. will be cancelled.
Train number 16306 Kannur-Ernakulam Intercity Express will be partially cancelled between Chalakkudy and Ernakulam.
Trains running in Ernakulam-Thrissur section are likely to be detained at way side stations by up to 2 hours.
Train number 16128 Guruvayur-Chennai Egmore express will have a late start by 40 minutes at 9.50 p.m., while train number 16188 Karaikkal Express will have a late start by an hour from Ernakulam at 11.30 p.m.
Train number 12624 Chennai Mail from Thiruvananthapuram will have a late start by 30 minutes at 3.20 p.m.
On Wednesday, train number 56365 Guruvayur-Punalur Passenger will remain partially cancelled between Guruvayur and Ernakulam, a pressnote issued here said.
