Millar takes lead

MELBOURNE: Adam Scott crashed with a six-over 77 on Saturday as he slumped to five shots off the lead after the third round of the Australian Masters at Huntingdale in Melbourne. The Australian world No 12 began the day tied for the lead at eight under but fell away with seven bogeys and one birdie and will head into Sunday’s final round in a tie for 11th. Australian Matt Millar leads the field after going around the sandbelt course in three-under to stand at seven-under 206 after 54 holes. Millar has a one-stroke lead over compatriot Andrew Evans, who went through qualifying to enter the tournament. Peter Wilson, who shared the halfway lead with Scott, also had a day to forget, dropping back into a tie for 24th after a nine-over third round.
