AHMEDABAD: The sounds of tabla, santoor and kartal melted effortlessly with keyboard, guitar and new-age percussion as art met heritage in the vicinity of the 15th century stepwell in Adalaj on Saturday evening.
Water Festival, the event, was organized by Crraft of Art to celebrate the World Heritage Week. It is the fifth year when the festival has been organized at the monument.

Musicians such as Rahul Sharma (santoor), Selva Ganesh (percussion), Dhruv Ganekar (guitar), Arun Kumar (percussion), Indrajit Sharma (keyboard), Vijay Chauhan (dholak), Khete Khan (kartal) and Fazal Qureshi (tabla) enthralled jam-packed audience with their performances.
The music lovers also got drawn towards the majestic stepwell that was lit with different hues, highlighting craftsmanship and grandeur of the structure. The organizers said that their primary motive was to bring the citizens to such monuments that would not only create awareness, but would also help in conservation efforts.
