Army recruit hangs self at Navy hospital
A 22-year-old Army recruit was found hanging from the ceiling at INS Ashwini hospital, Colaba, on Saturday.
MUMBAI: A 22-year-old Army recruit was found hanging from the ceiling at INS Ashwini hospital, Colaba, on Saturday.
An accidental death report has been registered at Cuffe Parade police station, and Army officials are inquiring into the incident.
According to press information bureau (defence wing), Jasbir Singh, who hailed from Punjab, was attached to the artillery centre at Nashik and was admitted with a stomach ailment.
The hospital informed the police. The body has been sent to St George Hospital for a postmortem.
