Indian official sources clarified that the crackdown or strict scrutiny of the “trafficking visa” after the Devyani Khobragade case has been eased.

NEW DELHI: Indian official sources clarified that the crackdown or strict scrutiny of the “trafficking visa” after the Devyani Khobragade case has been eased. The government has been reviewing the matter and it was felt that there was a case for persons and organizations genuinely interested in assisting victims of trafficking.
The restrictions, following the Khobragade case, were in place prior to the current government assuming office.
