Kate Middleton Shares About Her Loving Family And Gets Adventurous

Kate Middleton, who has been said to be receiving coaching for her public speaking, is intending to be more of a voice for the causes she supports as opposed to an image of support. Middleton has become very involved in numerous charities that support children and struggling youth. Most recently, the Duchess attended Place2Be, which is one of her key charities she has now become a voice for.

Using her public speaking training poignantly, Kate delivered a lovely speech during her visit, which highlighted her appreciation for those involved in her own fortunate upbringing. The Daily Beast shares words that the Duchess spoke.

“I often get asked why I decided to spend time highlighting the mental health of children. I imagine my answer might be similar to many of yours.I know that I was lucky. My parents and teachers provided me with a wonderful and secure childhood where I always knew I was loved, valued and listened to.”

Kate went on to remind listeners that not all children receive the attention, love and support that she did from her family while growing up and that charities like Place2Be allow those who lack support to be reminded of their value and feel accepted, supported and cared for.

“Of course, not all children have the anchor of a strong family. Many will arrive through your school gates feeling a real lack of love and devotion in their lives. This often leaves them feeling insecure and without confidence and trust in the world around them. That is why your work is so important.”

Middleton zeroes in on the need for teachers, parents, counselors and all influential adults in a child’s life to be outfitted with the tools to assist in that child’s positive upbringing. As is well known, Kate was not born into royalty. Her parents came from the blue collar class and did their best to support their family by giving the necessary attention and care. It is for this reason that Middleton’s speaking on the issue is pertinent and meaningful.

Kate goes on to ask listeners to imagine a world where youngsters are supported, valued and listened to as she was as a youth and ends by posing a though-provoking question.

“Imagine if everyone was able to help just one child who needs to be listened to, needs to be respected, and needs to be loved—we could make such a huge difference for an entire generation.”

The speech was well-delivered by the Duchess and it seems as though she is working up to being an unscripted natural in due time. As a bit of an adventurous show of support, Kate and Prince William recently spent their Friday afternoon learning about outdoor education and doing some zip-lining to demonstrate just how daring the duo can be. the centre the two visited is Towers Residential Outdoor Education Centre in Capel Curig, North Wales. Kate and William looked like pros as they got into their zip-lining gear and participated with enthusiasm in the activity.

As Just Jared shares, “That morning, Kate and William met with young students during their visit to the GISDA Centre in Wales.” Middleton is certainly seeking to do her part and is taking all the right steps to bring awareness to causes she cares so much about. Her busy schedule as of late, along with being a hands-on mommy to her own two little tykes, George and Charlotte, surely indicate that she is about more than simply looking stylish and wearing a royal image. Kate has shown she has a voice and substance, even though she has often been pinned as being all about her image.
