Nestle India tries to cook up recovery following Maggi noodle woes

KIRAN SHARMA, Nikkei staff writer | India

NEW DELHI -- For more than three decades, Swiss food giant Nestle's Maggi noodles were a favorite in India. That was before a controversy broke this year over allegations of excessive lead content.      With its once beloved noodles declared safe, Nestle India faces the arduous -- and costly -- task of buffing its tarnished brand image.
