U.S. – A man arrested for aggravated assault after hitting a motorcycle with his vehicle reportedly blames the ordeal on being bitten by an insect. As reported by CBS Dallas news, the man, William Crum, of Granbury, is facing two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and if convicted may be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison for each charge.

A video of the incident, that has gone viral, shows the motorcyclist crossing double yellow lines in what appears to be an attempt to pass Crum’s vehicle while driving on the Tin Top Highway in Texas. The car then sideswiped the motorcycle.

Crum said to CBS Dallas that he could not control his actions stating, “I felt the heavy sting and, reflex, whatever. My hand was on the wheel.”

Crum was confronted by the man who recorded the video asking him “What were you doing? You hit them.” He reportedly can be heard replying, “I don't care.”

The motorcyclist and his girlfriend, who was also riding on the bike, suffered injuries.
