Chandrabose murder case verdict in December

Thrissur: The judgment in the on-going Chandrabose murder trial is expected next month, special public prosecutor C. P. Udayabhanu has said. “I hope that the arguments will be over this month and by December second week, we can expect a judgment,” he told DC on Friday.
The cross-examination of Dr Aneeta, who treated the first witness K. C. Anoop, and village officers of Puzhakkal and Kuttur where the sprawling Sobha City is situated were completed on Friday.
The cross-examination of joint RTO K.T. Mohan, who issued a driving licence to the accused Mohammed Nisham, and two official photographers who took pictures of the scene of the crime would be completed on Saturday.
Nisham was charged with inflicting fatal injuries on the victim on January 29 by intentionally ramming his Hummer into him. Examinations of the SI who registered the FIR and that of the investigating officer CI P. C. Bijukumar is expected to be held on Monday.
“After the cross-examination of the investigating officer, the accused will be questioned by the prosecution,” he said. SPP said the defence lawyer moved the apex court on Friday seeking transfer of the trial from Kerala alleging ‘media trial’ and a senior lawyer in the SC, Kapil Sibal, would be appearing for the state government while considering his petition on Monday.
