Tyagaraja aradhana on January 28

The 169th aradhana of Saint Tyagaraja will be observed on the Pushya Bahula Panchami day that falls on January 28 next.

The aradhana will be observed with Carnatic music concerts by eminent musicians and instrumentalists in front of the samadhi of Saint Tyagaraja from January 24 and the high point of chorus rendering of the saint composer's Pancharatna keertans would be on January 28, it was decided at the Governing Council of the Sri Tyagabrahma Mahotsava Sabha at Tiruvaiyaru on Friday.

Sabha president G.Rangasamy Moopanar, secretaries Haridwaramangalam A.K. Palanivel and Srimushnam Raja Rao, treasurer Ganesh, trustees Suresh Moopanar, Deccan Moorthy, G. Srinivasan, Panchanatham and Sundaram, participated in the deliberations.

The council members mourned the demise of flautist Ramani.
