NEW DELHI: With the second Car-Free Day scheduled to take place on Sunday, transport minister Gopal Rai asked Delhiites to forego cars on the day.
The event, which will kick off with a cycle rally, will be held from 8am to 4pm between Dwarka's Sector 3-13 and 7-9. Associations of IAS and DANICS officers have written to the minister, assuring him of their participation.

The transport minister said the cycle rally will start from Dwarka Sports Complex. "Total distance will be about 6km," he said.
A human chain will also be formed on the route. According to Rai, local RWAs, school representatives, and NCC and NSS volunteers will be present. "Use of public transport is an important alternative for reducing air pollution," said Rai.
