Design world class buildings in capital, CM tells architects

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called upon architects to design world class buildings for government offices.

Addressing a two-day workshop of world architects jury here on Friday, Mr. Naidu said the government was adopting latest technologies to pave way for better governance. The government schemes, programmes, departments etc were made available online. The government complexes should meet requirements of modern governance.

The architects should design buildings of class apart. The architecture should also reflect Andhra culture and traditions. These buildings should become international tourist destiny, he said.

The Chief Minister said vast coastline, water and mineral resources, human resources were strengths of the State. CRDA secretary Ajay Jain, Commissioner N. Srikanth, Norman Foster team members Robert Harison, Dikshu Kukreja, and Jayendra Shah Richard Rogers team comprising Simon smithson, Ivan Harbour, Juan Laguna Neil Porter attended the meeting.

Prof. Ervin Viray, Prof. Chirstopher Benninger, and Prof. K.T. Ravindran are jury members.
