The State Minorities Commission (SMC) here has received a complaint from a rape victim, who approached the commission stating that she was being harassed by the accused to withdraw the case she filed against them, after they were out on bail.

The complainant, who is a resident of Dundigal, also wrote that she had lost her husband in an accident while they were travelling to a court in Medchal. Her letter states that she suspected that the accused had a hand in the accident she had met with.

Taking notice of her complaint, the SMC on Wednesday directed the Superintendent of Police (SP), Ranga Reddy district, to file a report about the matter and to take action, including the ‘stage of trial’ within 15 days.

A copy was also marked the Station House Officer, Dundigal.
