Nagpur chapter of ISCA closed down

The Nagpur, Mumbai and Bodh Gaya chapters of Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) have been closed down, informed Ashok Saxena, president of the association. He said that the step was taken due to the reluctance of these chapters to organize activities of the association.

Amravati: The Nagpur, Mumbai and BodhGaya chapters of Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) have been closed down, informed AshokSaxena, president of the association. He said that the step was taken due to the reluctance of these chapters to organize activities of the association.
The ISCA is also set to hold its 103rd Congress at University of Mysore from January 3 to 7, 2016.
The theme for the event will be science and technology for indigenous development in India. But Saxena said that though PM Narendra Modi has announced Make In India, Digital India, Indigenous India programmes, the PMO has not consulted the ISCA on these initiatives.
