Ponda: Ponda police solved a case of cheating and arrested one Lalit Solanki, 41, a native of Rajasthan on Friday, in a related case.
Solanki had purchased stolen goods—which he resold—from two accused held earlier. Police have seized TVs and ACs from Solanki and from people he sold to.
Earlier, on October 26, police arrested Amardeep Rathod, 29, from Tamshirem, Ponda and Mukesh Sawant, 36, from Zarwada, Anjuna for cheating a private finance company in September this year.
Police sources said the duo used forged documents to take loans from the company, and subsequently purchased electronic goods.
Police nabbed Solanki by keeping a watch on the two accused, who were out on bail.
Solanki was produced at a Ponda court and remanded to four-day custody. Ponda PSI Paresh Sinari is investigating the case.
