Mumbai City look to move on from 7-0 thrashing by Goa FC
After suffering humiliation in their previous matches, NorthEast United FC and Mumbai City FC both will be craving for a win when they face off in an Indian Super League (ISL) football match at the Indira Gandhi Stadium here today.

Hosts NorthEast United will also look to avenge their first-leg loss against Mumbai, when they went down 1-5 on October 28.

After getting thrashed 0-7 by FC Goa on Tuesday, Mumbai currently stand on the sixth spot with 12 points from 10 games — won three, drawn three and lost four.

NorthEast also come into the match after a 1-4 loss to Delhi Dynamos and are placed one place ahead on the points table in the fifth spot with 13 points.

Dynamos beat Pune 3-1

Propped up by goals from Adil Nabi and Enas Edathodia and John Arne Riise, Delhi Dynamos broke their winless run at home and closed in on a semifinal berth with a convincing 3-1 victory over Pune City FC yesterday.

Nabi scored the opening goal in the 35th minute while Edathodia found the net within a span of five minutes at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Riise added to Pune City FC’s agony from the spot in the 87th minute.

Romanian marquee player Adrian Mutu scored a consolation goal in added time. Agencies
