National Highway breach repairs delayed

The main works nearly completed after nightfall but works were still on to fill wide cracks on the small bridge near the breach. One side of the highway has to be relaid as it was totally washed away.

Repair works on the National Highway Manubolu in Nellore district has been delayed with the floodwaters not receding as expected.

Transport and District In-charge Minister Sidda Raghava Rao, Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and senior government officials are monitoring the situation and repair works at the breah point.

The main works nearly completed after nightfall but works were still on to fill wide cracks on the small bridge near the breach.

Moreover, one side of the highway has to be relaid as it was totally washed away in the floods for a length of 40 metres.
