The costumed crusader, who asked for his secret identity to remain a secret, said he is currently out of work in his day life. He told The Oregonian he plans to go back to college to study business.
Guardian Shield said he wants to make residents feel safe at night.
"I make sure no one is breaking into cars, no one's fighting, everyone is getting home to their families after a hard day of work," he told KPTV last month.
The superhero said he has some advice for Beaverton residents who want to keep their city safe after he leaves town.
"I will do my best, but if you feel that your neighborhood needs a superhero, look in the mirror," he said.
In the meantime, Guardian Shield is seeking alternative sources of income.
"Anyone know of any business(es) that would be interested in sponsoring a Superhero?!" he posted on Facebook.
