All the major Hindi general entertainment channels took a hit in Week 45 of BARC ratings that observed Diwali week and counting of votes in Bihar assembly elections on November 8, 2015. The week also witnessed many changes in pecking order.

According to the select data shared by BARC India for Week 45 for Hindi general entertainment channels (November 7 to November 13) {HSM : NCCS All : Individuals : BARC India base – All India (U+R)}, despite a drop in viewership, Colors returned to No. 3 position pushing Zee TV at No. 4. Life OK's viewership took a huge hit as the channel lost 92 TVM from its gross viewership and slipped to No. 6 position behind Star Utsav.

Another significant change in the pecking order was Sony TV's drop to No. 9 position behind its sister channels SAB TV and Sony Pal.

Star Plus dropped by 40 TVM but retained its leadership position with a gross viewership of 748 TVM (last week 788 TVM).

Zee Anmol, the FTA channel from Zee stable, too lost 12 TVM this week but held the No.2 position firmly with a gross viewership of 718 TVM (last week 730 TVM).

Colors returned to No. 3 position despite losing 38 TVM. The channel had recorded a gross viewership of 657 TVM (last week 695 TVM).

By losing more viewership than Colors, Zee TV lost the battle for No. 3 position and slipped to No. 4. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 638 TVM against last week's 695 TVM.

Star Utsav displaced Life OK from fifth position with a gross viewership of 499 TVM (last week 511 TVM).

Life OK lost maximum 92 TVM and slid to No. 6 position. The channel dropped to a gross viewership of 442 TVM (last week 534 TVM).

SAB TV returned to No. 7 with a gross viewership of 338 TVM (last week 336 TVM).

Sony Pal, that entered the top-10 club last week, rose to No. 8 position this week. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 306 TVM (last week 253 TVM).

Sony Entertainment Television dropped to No. 9 position this week with a gross viewership of 302 TVM (last week 342 TVM).

Rishtey was at No. 10 despite adding more viewership this week. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 283 TVM (last week 264 TVM).

Top 5 programmes on Hindi GECs

As per select data (HSM : NCCS All : Prime Time (1800 – 2330 hrs) : Individuals : BARC India base – All India (U+R), Star Plus and Zee Anmol had two shows each in top 5 programmes leaving one slot for Zee TV.

Star Plus' 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya' retained the top position with an average viewership of 15.6 TVM (last week 15.9 TVM).

'Kumkum Bhagya' on Zee TV remained the second most watched show across Hindi GECs with a viewership of 15.1 TVM (last week 14.9 TVM).

Star Plus' show 'Ye Hai Mohabattein' was at No. 3 position with a viewership of 13.5 TVM (last week 14.7 TVM).

Zee Anmol's show 'Ek Se Bhale Do' held No. 4 position with an average viewership of 12.4 TVM (last week 12.9 TVM).

Zee Anmol's 'Jodha Akbar' displaced Colors' 'Sasural Simar Ka' from top-5 club. 'Jodha Akbar' garnered an average viewership of 12.1 TVM.
