The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty rose over 1 per cent on Thursday tracking higher Asian markets on bets that US Federal Reserve would raise rates in December but proceed cautiously on more tightening. Sensex surged 359.40 points to close at 25,841.92 and NSE Nifty climbed 110.95 points to end above 7,800-mark at 7,842.75.

Dr Reddy: Shares of the company fell around 7 per cent intraday following reports that a US law firm has filed a class-action suit against the drug company. However, shares of the pharma major wiped off some of their losses and closed 2.63 per cent down after the drugmaker said it followed all disclosure norms required by the US and Indian regulators.
Religare Enterprises: Shares of the company were trading 1.86 per cent down at Rs 272.00 in afternoon trade after the company decided to exit mutual fund business with sale of its controlling 51 per cent stake in Religare Invesco AMC to the foreign partner Invesco.
