Ningbo Ocean Shipping buys 4 x 1,000-TEU box ships from Chinese shipyard
NINGBO Ocean Shipping has ordered four 1,000-TEU containerships from Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding that are scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2017 and will be classified by the China Classification Society (CCS).
Kouan Shipbuilding announced the deal on its website but did not disclose the financial details, reported Seatrade Maritime News.
The Chinese shipbuilder constructs box ships with a capacity ranging from 1,000 TEU to 4,350 TEU, as well as dry bulk carriers, multi-purpose vessels and heavylift vessels.
