Four vehicles torched, road blocked to protest attack on Sarpanch

An irate mob of over 500 people today torched four vehicles and blocked Junagarh-Mendarana road to protest against the attack over a sarpanch of Ivnagar village of the district, police said.
Sarpanch of Ivnagar, Arvindbhai was attacked by three people late last night and was admitted to hospital.
Angry villagers also attacked the houses of the accused and tried to set it on fire.
Later the mob blocked the road early morning and burnt down three motorcycles and a Chhakada to protest against the attack. The blockade was removed after assurance from police regarding arrest of the culprits within 24 hours.
