Club for children with Type-1 diabetes

“aTTituDe” a club for children with Type-1 diabetes, was launched at KMCH on November 14. Forty-five children with Type1-diabetes attended the inaugural function along with their family members.

Children with Type - 1 diabetesneed lifelong insulin injections or insulin pump. In addition, they need lifestyle changes, regular counselling, blood sugar monitoring and insulin delivery to overcome the condition. Looking into this need, Diabetologists at KMCH Dr. Sivagnanam, Dr.Velayutham and Dr.Krishnan Swaminathan reached out ot 60 families of such children in the region to form the club.
