A passing-out parade was organised at the Recruits Training Centre (RTC) of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police at Ilupaikudi in Sivaganga district recently to mark the completion of training for 351 constables who underwent rigorous training at the centre for around a year.

Addressing the new recruits after reviewing the parade, Deputy Inspector General (RTC) of ITBP Austine Eapen urged them to uphold the high tradition and professional standards of the ITBP.

Mr. Eapen presented trophies to the recruits who stood first during the training in endurance, weapon handing, drill, firing and also in the overall performance.

The colourful passing-out parade was followed by a demonstration by the constables of their skills in karate, taekwondo, physical training and a coordinated drill without command.

The function was attended by Second-in-Command (Training) Banwari Lal and Deputy Commandant (Training) Ramesh Sharma. Earlier, welcoming the guests, Mr. Lal narrated the rigorous training undergone by the recruits at the RTC in various categories such as weaponry, unarmed combat, field engineering and police tactics.
