Content Analysis:- The princess on the Road, the one act play written by kathleen
conjngham greene. Is an interesting one act play which centeres around a princess who is ill
treated by the villagers when sheds her royal attire and appears dressed up as a peasant girl to
exercise her royal prepogatives.
In this passage princess make another attempt, throwing more than three balls and catch
and she succeed.

Teacher engages in an informal talk with students to
create a good reppoit with them.

Entry Activity
Teacher treates a mental readiness by calling 2 students
from each group and asking them to throw balls. Teacaher
gives balls to students.
Link Talk
>Teacher: All of you done well. But you can’t manage
multiple balls. Right?
>Students: Yes
>Teacher: Why?
Students: We didn’t learn it.
>Teacher: Exactly, Also I can’t do it. Because we don’t know
the techinique and we don’t have practice.

(?) mark faor unknown words and exclamation(!) mark for
words fond interesting

situation teaching aid to get right meaning of the words.

Princess proves herself through juggling balls

Name of the Teacher : NIRMALA PS Name of the School : GOVT.BOYS HIGHSCHOOL Subject : English Unit : 2, Breaking Barriers Sub-unit : The Princess on the Road (one-act play) (page No.47-49) Issue : Issue of the identity Sub-Issue : Problems of the poor people Standard : IX Strength : 38 Period : 7 Duration : 40min Date : 28/7/15 Content Analysis:- The princess on the Road, the one act play written by kathleen conjngham greene. Is an interesting one act play which centeres around a princess who is ill treated by the villagers when sheds her royal attire and appears dressed up as a peasant girl to exercise her royal prepogatives. In this passage princess make another attempt, throwing more than three balls and catch and she succeed. Curricular statements:- The learner (i) Leads and enjoys piece of literature (ii) Improves imaginative thinking ability (iii) Improves knowledge about village people Pre-requisites:- The learner, (i) If familiar with the stories of kings and queens (ii) Had seen the game using balls

Entry Activity Teacher treates a mental readiness by calling 2 students from each group and asking them to throw balls. Teacaher gives balls to students. Link Talk >Teacher: All of you done well. But you can’t manage multiple balls. Right? >Students: Yes >Teacher: Why? Students: We didn’t learn it. >Teacher: Exactly, Also I can’t do it. Because we don’t know the techinique and we don’t have practice. Let’s check the princess can make it or not?   • 3. Teacher first reads the extract from the text with proper intonation pronounciation, stress and ina meaning full unit. The theme and necessary details are also forwarded to the students Track reading by the pupil Students are asked to read the passage individually and silently and they are also asked to put a tick( ) for known words (?) mark faor unknown words and exclamation(!) mark for words fond interesting Glossay Reference Teacher asks the students to refer the glossary to findoout the meaning of the words. If the students need further situation teaching aid to get right meaning of the words. Difficult words are, impertinent, slook down Impertinent:- rude and not showing respect Throwing balls: playing with balls Students read the according to the teacher’s instruction Students understood the meaning They writedown the meaning in their notebook Students got the idea

Juggles Richly dressed, expert in Juggling Betty Impertinent, giggly Generalisation and conclusion With the help of students, teacher concludes the portion. After doing so many kind of performance such as dancing and singing, at last princess performed the lick with the balls and succeed. Assignment After reaching the Palace, Princess write a diary.
