Singer-composer Shekhar Ravjiani falls ill after show at Bhubaneshwar

He visited Apollo Hospital in the city at midnight with complaints chest congestion and breathing problem. He felt better after medication, hospital sources said.
“Shekhar was brought to the hospital at around 1 am in the night and was discharged at 3.30 am after some medication. On Monday morning also our doctors visited him in the hospital. But he felt better later,” said Dr Hirendranath, general manager, operations with Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar.

Hospital sources said that he had flu while exhaustion and lack of rest aggravated his condition. “We advised him rest and gave some medicines,” he added. The team had left for Mumbai on Monday afternoon, sources said.
The duo was in the city to perform during the annual students’ festival Xpressions 2015 of the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB). “Shekhar was not feeling well since he came here for the performance. Throughout the show Vishal and other members of the team performed mostly during the show,” said a member of the organizing team of XIMB.

The show started around 8pm and went on till 10 pm. “The show was fabulous. The duo performed most of their hit numbers and all present there enjoyed to the hilt,” said Roshni, a student of XIMB.
The popular music director duo has composed music for over 50 Hindi films and also films in Telugu, Tamil and Marathi. (EOM)
