NASHIK: The temporary relief to the city residents in the form of twice-a-day water supply for a week during Diwali will come to an end on Tuesday. From Tuesday onwards, the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) will resume supplying water once-a-day.
From October 8, the civic body had begun rationing of water by supplying it to citizens once-a-day. "We have not yet decided to increase the water cut of 13%.
From Tuesday we will be supplying water only once a day," said an NMC official.
There had been opposition from many quarters following the Bombay high court's decision to release water from Gangapur dam to Jayakwadi.
