MHOW: Fourteen people lost their lives in two road accidents in Satna and Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh on Monday. 54 people were injured, 10 of them are critical.
Nine people died and more than 30 others were injured after a bus carrying about 50 passengers fell into a gorge in Satna while five people, including a woman and a young girl, died in when a bus collided with a car near Gunawad village of Dhar.

Satna police said the incident took place at Charki valley on Satna-Shahdol Road at around 3.30 pm. Eight seriously injured were rushed to Rewa government hospital. Others were being treated at a hospital in Deolond near Ban Sagar dam in Shahdol district.
"A police team reached the spot and shifted the seriously injured to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa," Satna SP Sanjay Kumar told TOI over phone.
He added, "The gorge was more than 20 feet deep."
Bus belonged to Ramgopal Satyanaryan Company and was going from Rewa to Anuppur. The driver is said to have lost control of the steering and the bus veered off the road and fell into the gorge.
Meanwhile in Dhar, a car driver and two passengers sitting in an Ertiga car died on the spot after a collision with an Indore bound bus. Impact of collision was so severe that the car body got entangled with the bus chasis. A woman and a girl, also travelling in the car, later succumbed to their injuries while they were being shifted to Dhar district hospital, police said.
As many as 24 people travelling in the bus were also hurt. Two persons are reported to be critical and were referred to MY Hospital in Indore.
Dhar police station in charge Ajit Tiwari said the dead could not be identified but added they were returning after visiting Mahakal temple in Ujjain.
