MUMBAI: The state government has organized a 3-day meet to discuss complimentary feeding to combat malnutrition and stunting in infants. The workshop has been organized along with UNICEF. More than 38 countries and 19 states will be participating in the knowledge-sharing workshop.
"Maharashtra has shown remarkable decrease in the number of malnutrition cases and so the meet is being held here. The idea is to share knowledge and experience with all the participating countries to fine tune the measures taken by the government," said health secretary Sujata Sounik.
The workshop will be attended by Union health minister Jaggat Prakash Nadda, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and other dignitaries.

The third day of the workshop is dedicated to India's battle with malnutrition. Presentations will be made by different states on the ways they have dealt with the problem.
