Valuables worth 15.86L stolen after break-in

Gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 15.86 lakh and Rs 50,000 in cash were stolen from a locked house on Kalavad Road, when the owners were visiting their hometown Wankaner during the Diwali holidays.

Rajkot: Gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 15.86 lakh and Rs 50,000 in cash were stolen from a locked house on Kalavad Road, when the owners were visiting their hometown Wankaner during the Diwali holidays.
A complaint of robbery was filed against unknown persons by Chetan Barbhaya (50) owner of the house located at Vrundavan Society. Barbhaya's complaint stated he and his family have jewellery business and had left to celebrate Diwali in their hometown Wankaner on November 10.
When they returned on November 12 they found their house ransacked.
M A Talbda, inspector at Kalavad police station said that the robbers entered the house after breaking the iron grill on the terrace window. "In all, the robbers stole gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 15.86 and Rs 50,000 in cash. We are examining the footage of CCTV cameras around the house to get further clues into the house break-in.
