Financier's office torched after families clash in city

RAJKOT: The office of a local financier at Guruprasad Chowk on Mahudi Road was allegedly ransacked and torched following clash between members of two families on the New Year's night.
In retaliation, the financier's family allegedly torched a motorcycle and damaged a house of the rival group near Saurashtra Kala Kendra on the Kalavad Road. Both families filed counter complaints with the police.
Financier Ramdevsinh Jadeja filed an FIR against Diljeetsinh Gohil, Vijay Gohil, Amitbhai, Bhimo Ahir and others for allegedly ransacking his office and setting it on fire on Thursday late night over some financial dispute.
Meanwhile, Diljeetsinh's father, Bharatsinh Gohil lodged a complaint with the police accusing Ramdevsinh and his family of torching his motorcycle and rancsacking his home on Kalavad Road on Friday early morning.
Police said they are investigating both the complaints.
