PARASI: The local mothers group has installed street lamps in Samarthya tole of Kawasoti municipality.

Altogether 18 street lamps were installed on the power poles in the area to help give light to pedestrians during the night, and also to ward off incidents of theft and hooliganism, chair of the group Pabitra Poudel said.

The installation of the street lamps was made possible through the monthly savings in the group and a donation of Rs. 1,000 each from houses not affiliated to the group. It cost a total of around Rs. 30,000.
