Govt. school students win folk dance competition

The students of Government Practicing High School of Hanamkonda bagged first prize in a State-level folk dance competition conducted by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). The competitions were held at Don Bosco Navajeevan Society at Ramanthapur in Hyderabad on Thursday. The dance troupe received the prize for their presentation on ‘Adolescent Girls-Lifestyle-Education System’ from the SCERT Population Education head K. Venaiah.

The students were selected for the national-level event to be held in Mysore, Karnataka, on November 16.

The school headmaster Sarangapani Iyengar congratulated the school’s music teacher and the students.
