2 BMWS UP FOR GRABS AT NACA!
MBABANE – Two BMW 3Series vehicles worth a total of E200 000 are up for grabs in this year’s National Arts and Culture Awards (NACA).
This year’s winner of the NACA best artist category will walk away with a BMW 3Series worth E130 000 while one lucky ticket holder will also win a BMW 3Series worth E70 000 in a raffle draw that will take place on the night.
The luxury vehicles were sponsored by Matsapha-based Motor Sales company OS Motors, who have partnered with the Swaziland National Council of Arts and Culture (SNCAC) in conjunction with Umvini Events Management, to make this year’s awards ceremony bigger and better.
The vehicles were unveiled yesterday afternoon by the Minister of Sports Culture and Youth Affairs, David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala, at the SNCAC offices in Manzini.
Present during the presentation was SNCAC Chief Executive Officer Stanley Dlamini and Umvini Events Project Manager Thulani Mtetwa. “We are very happy about this huge prize package, which we hope will encourage artists to urge their fans to vote. The other car worth E70 000 is for the public, as one lucky ticket holder will drive away in the luxury vehicle on the night,” said Mtetwa.
gratitude
Mtetwa said as organisers of the event, they thought it would be best that they offer such an incentive to the artists and also to show gratitude to the public who bought tickets. “All tickets on the night will be put in a raffle draw winners box and after the ceremony one lucky audience member who bought a ticket will win the BMW 3Series,” said Mtetwa.
“The whole idea is to improve the artist’s status. Our winner must not be seen on the streets walking but must drive a car worthy of his or her status of being a NACA Best Artist of the Year winner,” said Mtetwa.
He thanked OS Motors for agreeing to partner with them and making sure the awards have lucrative prizes.
