HYDERABAD: A criminal case was registered against Qutbullapur MLA K P Vivekananda for allegedly assaulting one Vishal, with whom the former had a land dispute, for questioning sale of crackers at a disputed site on Wednesday.
Jeedimetla police said Vishal approached a firecracker vendor, who was selling crackers at the site, and asked him to show the ‘No Objection Certificate’.
The vendor, in turn, called the MLA, who rushed there and picked up an argument with Vishal, that became physical. “Vivek questioned Vishal’s authority to seek NOC. This led to a scuffle and Vishal suffered minor injuries,” Jeedimetla inspector A Chandrasekhar said.
