KAITHAL: Artisans play an important role in the development of society and the very existence of society cannot be imagined without this community which draws inspiration and strength from Lord Vishwakarma.

Artisans play an important role in the development of society and the very existence of society cannot be imagined without this community which draws inspiration and strength from Lord Vishwakarma.

This was stated by Raj Kumar Saini, Kurukshetra MP, while speaking at a function organised by the Vishwakarma community on the occasion of Vishwakarma Day in Guhla-Cheeka today.

The Kurukshetra MP was the chief guest and Guhla MLA Kulwant Bajigar presided over the function. Saini said the contribution of the community towards society was matchless.

Bajigar exhorted the community to follow the path of honesty, hard work and dedication shown by Lord Vishwakarma and always remember his teachings.

He said society should always remember that Lord Vishwakarma was a torch-bearer for humanity. The MP donated Rs 10 lakh each to the Vishwakarma Mandir Society for the construction of a hall and toilets and Rs 10 lakh to the Sai Jan Kalyan Trust for the construction ofa crematorium.

The MLA also announced to donate Rs 10 lakh to the Mandir Society for development. Various cultural items on the life of Lord Vishwakrma were presented by artistes that were appreciated by the audience.

Leela Ram, president, Mandir Committee, and Neetu Jangra, founder, Sai Jan Kalyan Trust, were among those present on the occasion.
