Actress-turned-princess Grace Kelly has been a beauty icon since the moment she appeared alongside Clark Gable and Ava Gardner in Mogambo in 1953. And although she retired from acting at age 26 (to get married to a prince), her elegant and polished style is still emulated on the red carpet today. In honor of what would’ve been her 86th birthday, we decided to take a look back at her June 1955 Glamour magazine cover. If there is one beauty lesson to be learned here, it’s that matching your eyeshadow to your cardigan (and to your cat’s eyes) is always a beauty do.
