The Gulbarga Diabetes Foundation and Gulbarga Rotary Club would be organising a walkathon and diabetes detection camp in the city on November 14 to mark the World Diabetes Day and to spread awareness on the disease among the public.

President of the Foundation Manjunath Ankal, addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, said the walkathon would be held from Jagat Circle to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Chowk on November 14. A team of diabetics experts will screen the patients during the free diabetes detection camp at the Gulbarga Rotary Club on the same day.

Dr. Ankal said diabetes was reported as a fast-spreading disease throughout the world.
