Kevin McTaggart: Cumbria's 'one-man crime wave' jailed for four years

A criminal dubbed a "one-man crime wave" has been jailed for four years.
Father-of-two Kevin McTaggart, 23, was drunk when he committed each of his 12 offences - including a sexual assault and two burglaries - across west Cumbria between July 2014 and March.
McTaggart, of Dryden Way, Egremont, also spat in the face of a police officer who was arresting him.
At Carlisle Crown Court, McTaggart admitted eight offences while four others were also taken into account.
As well as jailing him, Judge Peter Davies ordered McTaggart to sign the sex offenders' register for 10 years.
Michael Maher, prosecuting, said McTaggart went "on the rampage" during one night in March, committing two burglaries and damaging several cars with bricks.
Defending, Kim Whittlestone said McTaggart "was a man who was out of control because of drink".
She said: "Prior to this series of offending he was looking to change his ways."
