LAHORE: The 32nd death anniversary of Al-Haaj Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf, former Senator and renowned industrialist was observed here on Monday.
Late Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf was father of Chaudhry Muhammad Zaka Ashraf, Chairman Ashraf Group of Industries and former president of Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd (ZTBL) and who had also been the chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). A large number of civil and high officials, politicians, farmers, members of national and provincial assemblies and large number of people from Sindh and Punjab attended the death anniversary. The speakers paid tribute to the struggle made by late Chaudhry Ashraf for the introduction revolutionary change in the field of agriculture.The participants also recalled his meritorious services for the socio-economic uplift of remote areas.
On the occasion, Quran Khawani was held and special prayers were offered for eternal peace and rest of the departed soul.–staff Reporter
