Physiotherapy student ends life in NIMS

A 27-year-old man ended his life by hanging himself at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Science in Punjagutta on Monday, the police said.

Vijay Kumar of Patancheruvu in Medak district was doing internship in physiotherapy at the NIMS hospital. On Monday, he came to the old building in NIMS hospital and hanged himself to the staircase corridor using a rope. The staff alerted the police, who shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary. “We are trying to ascertain the reasons behind his death,” Punjagutta SI U Srinivasulu Reddy said.
